Tricycles, computer simulators and welder mask with a video camera. Grodno opened the regional exhibition of innovative and technical creativity
The exhibition includes more than 400 exhibits: development of electronics, radio and robotics, instrument making, modeling, industrial design — only 15 nominations. Each project is the work of the hands and ideas of students and employees of vocational, secondary special and supplementary education institutions. By the way, the guys assembled their inventions in literal sense from scrap part.
Dmitry Gombalsky studies at the Berestovitsky State Agricultural Professional Lyceum. The guy has long been fond of model aircraft sports and, together with Alexander Vnukovich, the senior master of the lyceum, creates copies of wartime aircraft. The winged participants of aerial sports battles today adorn the walls of the exhibition hall of the regional center of technical creativity. The young man selected all the component parts of the model aircraft personally, and therefore I am sure that the “second life” can be breathed even into the most seemingly unsuitable piece of iron. And as an example, shows a homemade mill for metal processing. This quality is in no way inferior to the factory, and it costs at the same time at least 20 times cheaper.
Dmitriy Denis Fomitsky’s fellow student, meanwhile, will present the guests with his own hand-assembled bicycle. The trick of a new vehicle in its terrain — no dirt is terrible for massive wheels.
Alexander Vnukovich supports his students. In order to closely monitor the work of students in practical classes, he even equipped the usual factory mask welder equipped with a real video surveillance system and off-road.
— Recording from a video camera can then be viewed in the audience and the whole group can analyze the nuances of the student’s work, the mistakes made by him. This is a very effective teaching method, the master explains.
Maxim Telegin, the student of the Grodno State College of Technology, Technology and Design also developed a sort of «computer simulator» to make easiser to gnaw granite science. And Yevgeny Boltach, the master of industrial training, helped in this.
-The stand-maintenance device we have developed teaches how to diagnose and repair malfunctions of personal computers, says Yevgeny. It is modular, supports different components, allows you to simulate almost any damage. In short, an indispensable simulator.
But Artem Stankevich, Andrei Tereshko and Andrei Derunov, the students of the Grodno State Electrotechnical College named after Ivan Schastny, together with Semyon Samoylo, their master, literally built a real tricycle in three months. The guys still keep the nuances of vehicle design in secret — a detailed «secular» presentation of the development is still ahead. But they admit that, passing by the traffic police post on a tricycle, you will not remain unnoticed.
— It’s ok, we will soon certify our «three-wheeled horse» in the State Traffic Inspectorate. Then we go for a drive, joking the guys.
The results of the contest will be summed up on 25th of March. The best works will present the Grodno region in the republic. In addition, the winning projects of the regional stage during the year will be part of the overall permanent exhibition of innovative and technical creativity in Minsk.
